This is an article with the intention of helping students understand how to summarize other works. The author uses the techniques of putting ones self in the shoes of another, but to still have a personal influence so that your work and ideas are not lost within the summary.
The most impressive part of this article, at least for me was the last section regarding using the right signal verbs. I notice that when summarizing I will put "he said" or "she said" usually because I'm working too quickly. In the future I will be sure to review and try and rework all of my summaries.
